I've been talking with multiple people recently laid off by tech companies. One of them had already engaged a coach, and my conversation with her was markedly different. If I were to put my finger on it, it was the way she framed the discussion. It wasn't "What's out there for someone like me?" It was, "This is what I want to do, and I'm curious if that exists and where I can find it."
