I always appreciate people who “take the call.” Not just the recruiting call—I get it, you’ve been burned before or hit with irrelevant opportunities. But in a broader business sense, why not take the call? Why not stay open to conversations and networking? I always tell young job seekers that building your rolodex is key, and honestly, that pursuit should never stop, no matter where you are in your career.
