I can always improve at delivering better candidate feedback, especially for those who won't be moving forward in the hiring process. It's a common complaint in my industry. I encourage my clients to provide feedback that matches the level of effort the candidate put into the process, but they often fall short. Sometimes, there are factors that aren’t appropriate to share with candidates. Often, another candidate was simply a better fit. In those cases, I focus my feedback on outlining the differences between the hired and passed-on candidates.
